A "Must" decision-making process to use when considering membership in the San Antonio West Rotary Club:
First: Attend a Rotary Club Meeting. Afterwards, ask yourself:
a. Did I feel welcome?
b Was the Club receptive to guests?
c. Was the club appealing?
d. Was I introduced?
e. Were the members friendly?
f. Did the club display structure?
g. Did the club have a program (guest speaker)?
Second: Please consider the fact that you will be joining a Club.
You will be expected to meet periodically for meetings, service projects, and fellowship.
You will form new relationships that may go on for a lifetime.
Talk to members. Ask what they like about the club.
Ask club members about service projects the club is engaged in.
Third: Rotary Club is an organization of action plus it is inclusive and diverse, and each Club exhibits a slightly different personality/culture.
But, all Rotarians (1.4 million) work together, in harmony, to achieve world peace and understanding by serving mankind.
It is vital that you feel at ease and home. If for any reason you don't feel comfortable attend another club's meeting and repeat the above process.
