The Rotary Club of San Antonio West held an Officer installation and Awards Ceremony luncheon on July 2, 2024, at Blue Skies of Texas West.
The Officer Installation and Awards ceremony was a significant and successful event.
Club member Jane Luke Hill hosted the luncheon at her residence at BSTW.
Club announcements included:
- Our club was well represented at the District Governor installation dinner.
- Jane Hill praised her helpers for delivering household goods to the Center for Refugee Services and anticipates doing it again this summer, so save your pots and pans.
- Active club membership as of 30 June was 20 members, and will add Robert Gracy today.
- Our club finished #1 in per capita giving to the Rotary Foundation from our District for 2023-2024 and will receive a banner.
- Our Club will also receive recognition for earning the RI President Citation for meeting a balance of goals we established at the start of the year.

Long-time Rotarian and Foundation Chair John Paul Sullivan displayed many pins and awards, including a well-deserved "Rotarian of the Year" award presented by outgoing Club President Jerry Hardy.
John Wendt, Club Treasurer, was awarded the Paul Harris Fellow + 4 Award.
Club members Dan Van Syoc, Jane Luke Hill, and James Goodenough received the Paul Harris Fellow award in recognition of their work on the Club-sponsored Alzheimer's Research Project.
Outgoing Club President Jerry Hardy and Incoming President Dwayne Hopkins exchanged pins and gifts.
Incoming Club Officers were sworn in by Incoming President Dwayne Hopkins.

Jerry Hardy will continue to serve as the Club's Executive Secretary, Director, and Administrative Committee Chair.
New member Robert (Bob) Gracy, PhD. was inducted into the Club. His sponsor is Jane Luke Hill.
Rotarian Roy Diatikar is transferring from his previous Club in Knoxville, TN, to the Rotary Club of San Antonio West.
Meeting attendance was 50%.
