FINEMASTER:
Tim Villhauer, not at all looking like "Christmas Carole Tiny Tim" or "Ukulele playing Tiny Tim" did his best to secure funds for the Salvation Army. The missing members of the Sergeant at Arms committee were fined $2. If you hadn't visited another club recently, you were docked $1. WSU grad that weren't happy about the new Cougars Coach paid dearly although Scott Wallace indicated the Cougars were all out of money after having hired their pricey coach. Randy a buck for being last in. No Rotary Pin or Tie Tack, you paid a buck. A few Tacky Ties but not Tie Tacks. All Christmas Shopping Procrastinators were fine a dollar. Tim fined himself $10 for not having enough Fine Master material.
President Gary reminded us that December is Rotary Awareness month and a great way to tell people about Rotary is wear you Rotary Pin and when people as what it is, tell them your elevator pitch about the good works of Rotary.
BANNERS: Dont Ever Forget 12.7.1941
PROGRAM:
Hot on the heels of their performance the night before in the spirit of the holiday season, the Ferndale High School Chamber Orchestra under the direction of Chrissy Snyder (with 18 members from grades 9-12) performed to the delight of Whatcom County North Rotary members, a variety of beautiful holiday and orchestral pieces. As they slipped out of sight, a midst the sounds of a standing ovation, you could clearly hear "Merry Christmas to all and to all a Good Night".
All Ferndale choirs will be doing a holiday concert on December 15 at 7:00 p.m. in the Ferndale High School auditorium.
DRAWING: Laurie Lloyd drew the Ace of Spades and won $2.87 !
