MEETING TO ORDER:
President Greg called the meeting to order at 12:30 and led us in the Pledge of Allegiance. Tony Cubellis gave the invocation.

BIRTHDAYS:
None this week.
ANNOUNCMENTS:
(1) Paul Cooley: Career Fair will be 3/28/08 at WCC - we are getting behind on lining up speakers. Only six of the 28 needed are signed up.
(2) Brian Finnegan: May 9 will be the auction event. The theme is "When you were a teenager," so come in a costume from that era.
(3) Coquitlam club is having a Pub Night, and the LaConner club a smelt derby. contact President Greg if you'd like more info, sorry I couldn't catch all the details.
(4) Bill Grace: Roster updates - if you have not updated your info, please do so. Also, he's distributed fliers to the tables regarding the annual Ski-to-Sea car show.
(5) Dick Donahue reported on the progress for the Bay to Bay Bike Ride. It is scheduled for the last weekend of August prior to Labor Day - the 23rd & 24th. Dick listed many opportunities for members to contribute - registration, marketing, website, signage, permitting, help with insurance, etc. Please let him know how you will be able to help. We hope to have in place by the end of April.
HAPPY BUCKS:
It seems there was a shortage of happiness, or maybe just bucks.. Tony Cubellis and Bill Grace were happy for the sunshine. Max Legg was happy that the Navy has proved its success in the missile business. Pete Ruese was happy for a very big recent business success. President Greg Thulin was happy (????) that his face plant and back injury while skiing at Big White were not worse, and only caused loss of one day's skiing. Dan Baker was sad that he has already had to mow his lawn this year. Laurie Lloyd was happy about her
FINEMASTER: Max Legg, filling in for Dick Langabeer
He noted a very rare event - a prepaid fine. Randy Carr knew he was going to be fined for missing last week, so he paid in advance. Max really wanted to fine Maureen McCarthy for being cruel to dogs as well as cats, but she was ashamed to show her face. He then attempted to fine members regarding their colonoscopy status - Max, do you know what "T.M.I." stands for? If not, please ask a teenager. The Bowman's were fined for a democratic conspiracy, Leah, because she will be done with her labor much sooner than the poor accountants who have to work until April 15. John Aubert, who may never have been fined, as he is technically a guest, was fined because his daughter obviously got her looks from another branch of the family. Mel Hollinger was fined for his snappy dressing, and Paul Cooley and Tony Cubellis for their casual look. Ya' just can't win for loosen' as my dad used to say!

The banners this week were various sizes, colors and textures, a "study in contrasts." I think these were some of the most interesting banners in the collection, thanks Stan!
