Meeting Called To Order: President Scott Piper called the meeting to order at 12:35pm. The invocation was given by Gary Schneider.

Announcements: Another reminder to sign up for the 2006 District Conference in May in Whistler. Contact Hillary Baumstarck for Fun Run sponsorship (we need sponsors!). Please contact Bill Grace to update your Roster information (please put your name in the subject line when contacting him via email). New membership applications, as well as the current Roster's are available at the check in desk at each meeting. Shirley Metcalf's permanent badge is finally here (very good to have you Shirley)! Bill Grace presented Gary Cordrey with his "official stuff" which included his welcome letter, checklist, copy of the Northwind, and a framed certificate of membership. Larry Pollet got up to speak about the Dick Metcalf Memorial Project, and while doing so he mentioned that it is an ongoing/long term project, similar to that of the food bank. He suggested a garage sale as a possible means to raise funds. Marlene Sexton has been board approved as a new member. Her membership was proposed by Bob Bowman. Foundation Minutes for January 19th: The Rotary Foundation matches contributions raised by Rotary clubs and districts for International Service Projects involving Rotary clubs or districts in two more countries. These are usually World Community Services Projects. The Rotary Foundation provides a 1:1 match for District Designated Funds Share contributions and a 5:1 match for new cash contributions. Applications are accepted from August 1 to May 15, and requests are considered at the biannual meetings in October and April. The minimum amount is now set a t $5,000. More information is available on the RI Web Site and apparently Bruce Brabec can recount the pitfalls from memory.
Happy Bucks: Greg Thulin is happy to be back and almost finished building his new house. Bill Grace was happy the rosters are coming along. Gary Cordrey is happy to have a new home at WCN Rotary Club. Kathy Vander Giessen was happy for a great weekend at Whistler and for the Seahawks. Greg Iwasaki. is happy for Paul Cooley's help with the Career Fair (and this editor is extra-extra happy to be learning from Greg's expertise and to assist the two of them in any way she can). Tony Cubellis is very happy for the website. Doug Thomas is happy to have Gary Cordrey as a new member and to help out with the Dick Metcalf Memorial Project. George Tsakumis was happy enough to share a funny joke today. Tim Villhauer echoed a general happiness for the Seahawks victory.
Finemaster: Max Legg was Finemaster. All members of the Chamber of Commerce were fined $1. Dave Engels was fined for forgetting his credit card up front. Deb Wiggs volunteered a fine of $1 for the Bellingham Club Banner. Ron Kelley was fined $1 for being a guest. All Seahawk fans were fined $1. Bill Grace was fined for not being down south right about now. Deb Wiggs was fined an additional $1 for having the incorrect banner up front. Gary Cordrey and Nancy H⿦⿦... were fined just for being new. Chuck Tull was fined for too many people not knowing who the Greeter was today. Jerry Landcastle (dressed for success in a lovely ensemble of Kelly green trousers and dress shirt) was fined for the "Irish Theme". Paul Cooley was fined just for being a great guy. All Whatcom County property owners' were fined $1 for lower assessments and raised taxes...or was it the other way around?

Program: Local real estate broker Phil Dyer gave a presentation on The Dyer Family Friendship School in Cambodia.
