The Dick Metcalf Memorial Project
METCALF TEEN CENTER CAMPAIGN
Over a year ago our Club made a major commitment to Honor Dick Metcalf. He is perhaps remembered best as the Founder of Whatcom County North Rotary Club and he was our first president. Dick was totally committed to Rotary and epitomized Rotary ideals. This commitment on our part is the first of its kind and certainly signifies how we, as a whole, felt about Dick and his contribution to our community, our Rotary Club and certainly to the Ferndale Boys & Girls Club.
To date we have raised $132,000; over half of the $250,000 goal. Many of us made pledges over a three year period so that we could achieve the $132,000. We need you to make your 2007 payment to Gary Tomsic at one of our meetings or mail it directly to him at our
For various reasons you may not have yet taken the opportunity to contribute to this Club effort. We need to raise an additional $118,000 to meet our goal. We could really use your help now. If you do not have a pledge card, get one from Jim McKellar, then turn the pledge into Gary Tomsic, Julie Johansen or Jim McKellar and include you check or pledge payments in 2007 and 2008.
For the majority of us we will long remember Dick Metcalf and what he meant to Whatcom County North Rotary Club. Please give us a hand at a time when the Club really needs it.
