MEETING TO ORDER: President Chuck Tull called the meeting to order at 12:30 and led us in the Pledge of Allegiance. Sharon Robinson gave the invocation acknowledging the religious diversity within Rotary membership.

FOUNDATION MINUTE: Tim Carpenter reminded everyone that the push is on to raise enough to get the Gates Foundation match of 250 million..
ANNOUNCMENTS: Reminder about the Foundation Dinner on Nov 12th. 5:30 social 6PM dinner. Remember, this is where we make the Paul Harris awards
President Chuck announced that there will be committee meetings at Northwoods Hall for the Fund Raising, Projects, Career, Youth and Membership committees at noon on Nov.12th. All are welcome to attend any.
Dan Baker reminded us that the Fund Raising Committee will meet 7 AM, Tuesday morning Oct 27th at Arlis's Restaurant.
The next Executive Board meeting will be held 7:30 Thursday morning Nov. 5th at Zervas Group Architects.
Tim Carpenter informed us that the District Foundation dinner is two days after ours in White Rock. Please join Tim if possible.
Paul Cooley his holding a Career Day meeting at Bob's Burgers in Barkley after work today.
Our stint for Salvation Army bell ringing will be Dec. 19th at the Ferndale Haggen's store. Sign-ups will start in two weeks. Be ready to your pick time.
Larry Pollett announced that the Visioning Project will be Dec. 3rd. No noon meeting that day. Dinner meeting from 5:00 â?" 9:00
Leah Macaleer needs volunteers for the Jr. Achievement at Blaine Schools Friday Nov. 13th. Grades 3,4 and 5 will have speakers, as we have done before. First timers are encouraged and training will be provided. Call Leah.
HAPPY BUCKS: Jerry Landcastle start us out with a few happy dollars for a recent trip to Gulfport and a Navy Seabees reunion
Max Legg was $5 happy for 2 weeks vacation and a 35th Annapolis reunion.
Brain Finnegan complained that Randy Carr was pitching trash, literally.
Randy Carr paid $5 for scooting early.
Tim Carpenter paid for riding his bike to Rotary
Leah Macaleer paid for a vacation trip and some house hunting.
Ray George paid $5 scooter bucks.
Nancy Tieman paid $12 for twelve days in Turkey.

FINEMASTER: Jack Curnow was scheduled for today's fine faster, but he must have had something come up. Hope he's okay.
Since there was no fine master, some impromptu fines took place. Randy Carr was fined by Brian Finnegan for a renege. Max Legg was fined for misplacing his name tag. Jake fined himself for coming to next weeks meeting to early. Tim Carpenter fined himself for this Foundation Thought. Dan Baker fined himself for the cause as did Lex Ludtke. Sharon Robinson fined herself because she thinks she was suppose to be todays Foundation Minute program. Tyler Cook pointed out a passed editors transposition of introduce to induce. Paul Cooley point out Tyler's neck tie. Jake Smith claimed he made a deal with the devel. Chuck Tull donated to the cause.

PROGRAM: Tim Villhauer introduced Steve Hoffman, Teacher at Options High School. ,
Options High School is located in portable classrooms to the east of Bellingham High and involves about 75 kids full time and a hundred more in "day programs". Steve brought three students to today's show and tell about the Job Shadow Program. This is a training class for students to really appreciate a profession that they may be considering for a career. When the student completes the course they are made familiar with what it takes to hold down the job and are "certified as work place ready". Steve sound like he has a great job. I think I might like to shadow him. Thanks for the insight Steve.
DRAWING: Laurie Lloyd had the lucky number and won the pot by drawing the Ace of Spade. Congratulations Laurie.
