MEETING TO ORDER: President Chuck Tull called the meeting to order at 12:32 and led us in the Pledge of Allegiance. Tony Cubellis gave the invocation and prayed for success in our Rotary work. .
VISITING ROTARIANS: George Tsakumis- Vancouver BC,Jeanne McGee, Melaque Mexico.
GUESTS: Ken Richardson introduced his wife Sue. Tim Villhauer had three guests and the names went to fast for me
RETURNING ROTARIANS: None asked for, none spoke up
BIRTHDAYS: Terry Don. Brian Finnegan, Rick Staab, Dick Donahue
FOUNDATION MINUTE: Tim Carpenter talked about the foundation money.ANNOUNCMENTS: Ken Richardson reminded us that the Foundation dinner will be Nov. 12th and no afternoon meeting.
Dan Baker talked about the Fund Raising Committee meeting scheduled for Tues. Oct. 13 at 7 AM at Arlis's Restaurant. .
Ray George reported on the district membership seminar at Fox Hall Oct.3 from 9-2 PM
Chuck informed us that the District Governor will visit us on Oct. 8th
Tim Carpenter was having a Foundation Committee meeting for 90 seconds right after today's lunch meeting.
HAPPY BUCKS: President Chuck Tull gave a happy dollar for the Penske truck that backed over the hood of his car that didn't kill him..
Bill Grace gave money for a good trip to coopville and the week coming.
Ken Richard son gave money for his son's 10th wedding anniversary and his daughters 1st.
Tim Villhauer gave $10 IOU for Ray George's 30th anniversary party.
Rome Sarwas was happy for his father's 93 birthday
Tony Cubellis was sad he missed Ray's party and was happy to hear Winton Smith on the radio.
Stu Ellison from Bellingham Bay Rotary Club put in a plug for their annual wine tasting fund raiser to be held at the Lakeway Inn Nov. 1st.
Dan Baker gave happy bucks for a successful fund raising meeting
Adoline Brown was happy about moving to a new house (do I hear party?)
Time Carpenter was $55 happy for 27 years sober.
Jeanne McGee was happy for an art tour this weekend
Gary Tomsic was happy for Blaine wins over Mt. Baker & Ferndale
Ray George gave $10 to plug his web site www.thesighpost.com
Scott Wallace tried to be happy about football but the only winner he could fine was the Meridian Trojans.
FINEMASTER: The fine masters were confused who was up this week so Ken Richardson tagged a few and then Scott Wallace took over for the smack down..
First some emails were fined, then Chuck Tull lost Stan's notes. Ties were fined, less than 2 cookies, texting while driving, cover of Rotary Mag., Saturn car owners, Corvair owners, snow skiers, Lummi Ferry riders, motorcycle riders, Jack Curnow for not paying for the USC loss, Rich Jacobson for running the table and finally Dan Parson's shorts. .

PROGRAM: Tim Villhauer introduced James Stansell who is a Pearl Harbor survivor. Jim gave a very interesting first person account of the Japanese attack on December 7,1941. He went on to take about this journey among the island battles in the south pacific. Some good questions were asked for great American war hero.,
DRAWING: Card was drawn. Not a winner. Ken's wife Sue won dinner at Chihuahua's Family Restaurant in Ferndale
