MEETING TO ORDER: President Marlene called the meeting to order at 12:30.  Gary Tomsic gave the invocation.
 
VISITING ROTARIANS:  Joel Peterson, Emerald City; Harte Bressler, Bellingham Bay and Jeanne McGee Melaque, Mexico/
 
GUESTS: Audrey Bowman, Marlene's mother, and friend to Mary Lou Richardson, Ken's month.
 
BIRTHDAYS:  Dan Baker.
 
RETURNING ROTARIANS:  None.
 
ANNOUNCEMENTS:   1.  Max Legg lost his mother over the holidays.
2.  Bowling canceled due to conflict with BCS Championship game.
3.  Norm is ready and willing to pick up your auction items, he's happy to drive his big ole' truck to do it.  4.  Thank you circulating from FFA student, and from Susie and Eric for the December tips.

HAPPY BUCKS:  Many Husky alum were happy about trips to San Diego, Disneyland, etc. Seahawks fans were just plain happy.   Randy was also happy about  the "Radio Guy."  Ray was also happy and optimistic about a good year ahead.  Norm gave some Truck Bucks.  Dan Parson was happy for his vacation, some good sports, and some frogs in an aquarium.. 
Jeanne is happy to be leaving us on Saturday - only because she's going to Mexico.  Rick was happy for a trip to Michigan, Dale for a good holiday, his nephew's success and the Canucks.  Laurie for Christmas, and sports.  Tim was happy that his wife, and not him won the Hawaii raffle.  Randy was happy that Tim always leaves pens wherever he goes.  Melanie for a great holiday in Mexico, Greg I. for trips to both extremes, Dominica and Buffalo.  Ken for having a whole table of family with him, Rocky for his grandson starting to walk during their visit.  Julie for the program and thank yous.  Chuck for Husky's defense, and Hockey.  Marlene will be happily missing next weeks' meeting while drinking Margaritas in San Diego.
 
FINEMASTER:  Maureen McCarthy was the fine mistress.  She started off fining Ray and Jim Sands, as well as Dale and Melanie just to make them feel welcome.  As usual you were fined if you did not eat anything green, orange or yellow.  Everyone who missed the Bring Your Mom to Meeting memo was  fined.
Bill Grace was fined for bell ringing with Santa.   Dan was not fined for doing right by the frogs,  but he did hold up the salad line.  Jeanne was commended and not fined for adopting a dog in need.  Tables with no women were fined.  People who didn't have to travel to the East Coast were fined, as were those with grandchildren, and everyone who did not read a book to a child over Christmas.  Tyler was fined for some very bad rapping over the Haggen loudspeaker. Sharon escaped being fined by knowing that this is the year  of the Rabbit in the Chinese calendar and that the Chinese New Year starts at the beginning of February.
 
BANNERS:  The banners were purple and gold in support of the Huskies. 
 
PROGRAM:  Our speaker was Mary Lou Richardson,  Mother to Ken, and certified Laughter Leader.   She led us in a number of fun laughter exercises guaranteed to improve your mood and happiness level.   I think they worked!
