MEETING TO ORDER:  President Chuck Tull called the meeting to order at 12:30 and led us in the Pledge of Allegiance. Mel Hollinger gave the invocation.

VISITING ROTARIANS:  Ron Jepson of the Bellingham Club.   

GUESTS:  Ray G. and Laurie L. had Carlie Wade from FFA, she is also helping to put together a Face Book Page for the Club. 

BIRTHDAYS & ANNIVERSARIES:  George Scott has a birthday.

RETURNING ROTARIANS:  Rome S. just back from Arizona.

ROTARY FOUNDATION MOMENT: Chuck gave a moment - thought - idea ? Until the end of May the District is supplying matching funds for Foundation Donations.

ANNOUNCMENTS:President Chuck announced a board meeting on May 6^th at 7:30.   Paul C - The Group Study Exchange "is all set".  Nancy T. - announced a group study event at her house on Wednesday May 12^th at 6:00PM, everyone is welcome to come and bring a side dish or desert, along with your significant other:  Also the event needs donations of salmon.   Chuck T.- Youth Services ready to go May 20^th, but we are still short bank sponsors.  Ray G.- "Club in a Club" is ready to go on May 22^nd at 5:00PM.  Ken R.- reported about the "Change of Officer's Dinner Meeting", on June 25^th.  Bill G.- passed the correction sheet around for the new roster. Dan P. - reported the I-5 Hi-Way Clean-up will be May 1^st at 10:00 AM, check with Dan, or show up at Bob's at exit 270. Remember to bring gloves and boots.    

HAPPY BUCKS:     The following people were happy:

Winton S. daughter in school. - Bill G. roster progress. - Nancy T. daughter back from overseas. - Ken R. son back to work after heart attack. - Marlene S. grandson seven months old. - Norm V. for the seven day prawn season. - Ray G. for his youngest son being a teenager and his oldest son being in a really good band. - Dan B. for not being a good picture taker. - Rome S. for Winton's daughter going to dental hygienist school. - Dan P. was happy for the Mariners, and three very important points he needed to make about the Hi-way clean-up that He didn't have time to tell the club. - Tim V. for Edward Jones being ranked high for the eleventh year in a row. Ray G. for our new Face Book Page.

FINEMASTER:  Max Legg:

Max fined a number of people for "opening up" a new table. - Max fined Mel H. for wearing suspenders, so Mel immediately took them off. Luckily Mel was sitting down ! - Gary T. for the Blaine Schools doing well in sports. - Julie J. for taking a vacation. - Randy C. for taking George T's seat, even if George wasn't here this week. - Dan P. for wearing "Lawyer Clothes". - Norm V. about having trouble figuring out raffle tickets. - Pete K. for the ferry working OK.

PROGRAM:  Pete R. introduced Art Choat and Mike Stoner from the Port of Bellingham. Art and Mike gave an informative report on the present state of the airport and the waterfront development. They went on to discuss the future plans of both areas. Many questions followed.
