MEETING TO ORDER: President Tim Villhauer called the first meeting to order at 12:30 and led us in the Pledge of Allegiance. Rick Staab gave the invocation and gave thanks for a fine spring day and good health

ANNOUNCMENTS: Tim Villhauer reported that there was good attendance of Rotary Club members at the memorial service for Brad Peterson.
Brian Finnegan made one last plea for donation to the May 8th Caribbean auction. Drop off items at his office at 130 Hal Place no later that Friday April 24th. If you're at a loss of what to donate, wine baskets have been a good seller in the past. Jerry Landcastle will be calling you if have not made your dinner reservations for this major fund raiser for our club.
The Whatcom North Rotary Caribbean Auction evening is 6:30 PM, Friday May 8, 2009 at the Bellewether Hotel. Bring your spouse and another couple. If you just can't make it, a donation of your $50 per plate is expected.
Laurie Lloyd announced that we will be building the last two horse stalls for the Humane Society will be 9:00 AM, Saturday April 25th . Bring tools. Call Laurie with questions.
The Youth Service Award will be at our lunch on May 7th
Bill Grace presented a temporary badge to our regular visitor Jeanne McGee.
Rick Staab asked that all web page updates be sent to him and that any errors or omissions in the web site be directed to him.
HAPPY BUCKS: Tim Villhauer was happy to see an advertisement in the Bellingham Herald thanking Haggens for the help with the Career Fair.
Bill Grace was happy to be a member of Rotary.
Brian Finnegan was sad he missed Brad's service but was happy for a trip to Whistler and a text message from Randy Carr.
Randy Carr was happy to have his daughter let him go to Whistler and join Brian.
Doug Thomas was happy.
George was happy for some successful trout fishing on Lake Samish

FINEMASTER: Scott Wallace made our wallets lighter today. A lot of general fines. First he got our speaker Roger Hunt (Welcome to WCNRC where no one is immune). Ray George had a phone call he was asked to pay for. Ken Richardson was fined for not enough notice. A tie today cost $1. If you took less than 2 cookies $1. Randy Carr was fine $5 for the "Wallace Rule". Scott Pipe got a table fine? All skiers were fined for one last weekend of skiing. All Huskies were fined. Brian Finnegan couldn't stop talking back so he was fined some more until he did stop. All dog owners were fined of the shooting of a golden. Haggen's was fined for getting listed in the top 100 stores. For Earth day, if you didn't do something, pay $1. If you don't have a proper document for the border, pay $1. And finally, Max Legg paid a late happy dollar of the U.S. Navy's action off Somalia. .
BANNERS: Anyone who did not offer a guess on the banners was fined
PROGRAM: Roger Hunt from the Bellingham Golf and County club gave a great talk with PowerPoint pictures of the history of the County Club. Lot's of interesting tid bits of information. They have openings for membership now.
DRAWING: Bill Grace drew a card. Not a winner.
