In lieu of our regular meeting at Northwood Hall, everyone was asked to meet at the Ferndale Boys and Girls Club to assist in setting up the Auction/Garage Sale scheduled for Friday August 25th and Saturday August 26th.
Sack Lunches were provided by Haggen Foods (thank you Paul Cooley). President Ken recommends that if you're so inclined you can donate $10 to Happy Bucks for the fabulous lunches.
All of the donated items were loaded into three semi-trailers provided by Ludtke-Pacific Trucking, Inc., (thank you Lex) and on Thursday we began unloading the trailers and setting the items up for display.
There were many people who worked very hard on Thursday and Friday getting everything set up and also again on Saturday when the garage sale items were sold. We had lots of volunteers, but a sincere thanks go out to Rose, Maureen, Tim, Paul, Jack, Dick, Brian, Bill, Kathryn, Julie, Lex, Dan, Dan, Scott, Lori, Ken,
Tim Carpenter provided T-shirts (with the Rotary logo) for everyone who worked on Saturday and I'm told those are to be washed and returned to the club for the next event we hold.

Next year we will be twice as good. Julie hopes to have to have the numbers together soon and will let us know how we did.
