Our Friendly Club
Mandurah Districts Rotary Club is a member of the world's largest community service organisation, Rotary International.
The motto is "Service Above Self".
Men and women in Rotary come from many diverse backgrounds and experience. Their skills are used to carry out local service community projects or international humanitarian projects in developing nations.
Rotary is non-religious and non-political. It has achieved enormous success by Rotarians being able to cross world boundaries to implement humanitarian and educational programs.
It is the fun and fellowship enjoyed by Rotarians and their families that make Rotary a great way to give back to your community.
Friendships
Friendship was one of the primary reasons that Rotary was formed and remains the major attraction today.
Whenever Rotarians travel they are welcome to meet with other Rotarians at a Club meeting or socially.
Who can join Rotary?
A person of good character who has a good reputation in their profession or community and is willing to serve the community qualifies for Rotary.
How big is Rotary?
Rotary consists of over 35,000 Rotary Clubs with over 1.2 million members, in over 200 countries around the world.
Other organisations like Rotaract and Interact provide community service opportunities for younger people.
Professional Networking
Rotary was founded on networking with friends, business and community colleagues wishing to share their knowledge and experience.
Today networking is easy with social media platforms where like-minded Rotarians can communicate to plan and implement their great ideas that will do good for the community.
Service Opportunities
Rotarians have many opportunities for humanitarian and educational projects locally and internationally. Life saving projects such as providing water services, immunisation for infectious diseases, literacy training, micro financing are a few services.
How often do Rotarians meet?
Rotary Club of Mandurah Districts meets Tuesdays for 6:00pm at Mandurah Country Club, Halls Head.
