Rotarians can access grants from the Rotary Foundation to initiate the extensive humanitarian and educational work that enhances goodwill, understanding and peace in our world. Rotary is the lead organisation promoting and successfully eradicating polio, the debilitating disease. Due to the support of Rotarians and others, there are now only a few cases reported in two countries.
This achievement has gained an international commendation directed to all Rotarians for maintaining the personal and financial support through to the end of the program.
