There is a great diversity of Community Service projects our Club is involved in, some of which are listed below. These make a difference in an ever changing world. 
Rotary Family Fun Day & Duck Race
 

The Rotary Club of Mandurah Districts holds the  annual Mandurah Rotary Duck Race and Family Fun Day on Easter Saturday.

This community event is hosted by Rotary and is a low cost no entry fee event for the entire community which is held on the Eastern Foreshore of Mandurah Terrace, Mandurah.

Money raised by the Mandurah Rotary Duck Race and Family Fun Day will be used to support:

  • Local Community Service Providers
  • Family and People in Mandurah Who are Doing it Tough
  • Rotary Projects and Programs

The Family Fun Day

The Family Fun Day starts hosts free activities for children and family that include kid’s rides, kids versus parents tug of war, sack races, face painting, speciality food vendor stalls and exclusive local art & craft works and much much more.
Rotary Community Swap Meet and Sausage Sizzle
The swap meet brings the community together, buying, selling and recycling second hand goods. This is held every Sunday morning (weather permitting) from 7:00 am to 11:00 am at the Halls Head Shopping Centre.

 

Sail into Life

The Mandurah Offshore Fishing and Sailing Club in cooperation with the combined Rotary clubs of the Mandurah region provide Sail into Life for people who would love to have a go at sailing, but find it too difficult or uninviting to do so, especially those with special needs or disabilities.

The Sail into Life program uses Access Dinghies, the Access Dinghy design features allow total novices of any ability to sail with little or no tuition, nearly regardless of the conditions.

The Sail into Life program occurs during the summer months and with the support of Rotary members you will see them sailing in front of the club every second Sunday, to find out more on this community program please contact the club.
Rotary Christmas Lights Wishing Well
Wishing Well Report 2024
Our Christmas Wishing Well is up and running in the Mandurah canals. All funds received from passing traffic goes back into the local community, so if you are going on a cruise to look at the beautiful Christmas lights, remember to bring a bit of change to throw into the tray. Wishing you all a Merry Christmas. 
 
Report for 2024
 
On behalf of the members and friends of the Rotary Club of Mandurah Districts, I would like to thank Mandurah Cruises for their support and encouragement. We also thank all of the Port Mandurah residents who share the Christmas spirit by presenting a magnificient display of Christmas lights for us all.
 
Once again we have been supported by Rob and Robyn Lowry who have hosted the Wishing Well for the last 4 years, beside their home. Don Francis has also helped again by diving for the coins that miss the wishing well. Also special thanks to the Mandurah Cruises staff who encourage the public to donate to support our community groups each year.
 
Most of you will know that each year we have distribution of funds to local community groups from the proceeds of the Wishing Well. A few of the recipients this year were:
  • Cycling without Age, helping to purchase a tricycle for Mandurah.
  • New helmets for Riding for the Disabled
  • Soroptomists in Mandurah made sure all kids returned to school with the materials they needed
  • Compassionate Friends Mandurah conducted weekend retreat services with the funds
  • Mandurah Volunteer Dolphin Rescue Group produced FinBooks for the community
Our Club is proud to be part of this great event in Mandurah; I can announce that the total funds raised this year was $26,672. This brings the total raised since 2008 to $303,811.
