Feeling somewhat tired but elated after the success of today's Rotary Swimarathon. So many people to thank! Firstly, a huge thanks to all our swimmers who came along to participate in the event - 81 swimmers registered with us today at Kwinana Recquatic Centre, as well as our swimmers in regiional locations. Thanks to Rotarians and partners from the Rotary Clubs of Kwinana and Rockingham for acting as registration officials, lane marshals, photographer Eric Blogg, and general ushers. Special thanks must go to Michael Nella and Brian McCallum for running the barbeque in such hot weather - your efforts were appreciated by so many! Thanks to Tony Ball of the Kwinana Hornets Swimming Club for his ongoing support of our event. Thanks to Rotarians from other clubs in District 9465 - including DG Erwin Biemel, DGE Brian Eddy, DGN Melodie Kevan and Rotarian Charlotte O'Shea. A great thanks goes to James Sharkey for helping me with every step of the way with this annual event - couldn't have done it with him! Also must acknowledge Kero O'Shea, Bob Thompson and Darrel-Pat Donovan for their assistance with planning. Thanks to the Recquatic Centre staff for assisting with running the event. Finally, and most importantly, deepest thanks goes to my husband Damian Carr and Jim's wife Cathy Sharkey for their extreme patience and tolerance over the past few weeks with our constant phone calls, emails and other sundries!
