A very successful Australia Day event was held at Calista Oval, hosted by the Rotary Club of Kwinana. Members, partners, and family members were out in force, cooking and serving up a free traditional Aussie breakfast to the community while observing relevant COVID-19 regulations as best as possible. A range of entertainment was organised for the event, with performances from Aboriginal, Torres Strait Island, Indian, and Maori cultural groups.
The National Australia Day Committee are engaging with communities throughout Australia by funding Australia Day Celebrations. The unified theme of reflect , respect and celebrate allows all Australians to celebrate their origins and cultures in a meaningful way endorsing our National Anthem’s sentiment that “we are one and free ”
