The 2012 SEMR Auction was kicked off on August 16th at Rene Porubek's house with twelve members in attendance.  Co-chairs Rene Porubek and Steve Waterman were very pleased with all that was accomplished in the first meeting.  The auction committee's choice of venue for the coming auction is Tulalip Casino.  Mark your calendars for Saturday March 24th. The committee hopes to have Mike Cashman's brother Pat as our auctioneer. 

 

Some important committee and sub-committee positions were decided:

  • Paul Kulle is heading up attendance solicitation and Terri Stefnik we be helping him line up table sponsors. If you have ideas for promoting the event, get in touch with Paul. 
  • Sharon Berry will head up the finance committee.  
  • Julie Frauenholtz will coordinate the "Event Planning" committee.  Karl Duitsman has agreed to run set-up for her.  This committee will also oversee theme selection and decorations. If you would like to help in these areas,  contact Julie Frauenholtz. 
  • The committee is still looking for a volunteer to coordinate the "Procurement" committee. Within this category, Cassie Franklin will lead the effort on item procurement,  Mary Brueggeman has volunteered to do data input, and Randy McDonald will coordinate the "Fund A Need."    

There are still important positions open.   Please step up and offer your unique talents to our club's most critical financial undertaking.  If you would like to help with getting corporate sponsors or the raffle, contact Steve or Rene. 

 

Terri Stefnik and Sheila Countryman-Bean will act as advisors this year to the committee.
