SW Safari: John claimed a make up as he and Janine had taken Alice (or it might have been Mathilde) on a SW safari covering Esperance, the Goldfields, Wave Rock and places in between.

On a trip to On a trip to Esperance and the Goldfields Alice, John and Janine stayed with Ken and Georgena Jenkyns (RYE Councillor) and enjoyed 2 days of activities with 4 other exchange students and their host parents. It was very enjoyable to spend time with other members of the Rotary family. We surfed and 4WDed on Esperance’s gorgeous beaches, sand dunes and enjoyed other town and scenic attractions. Alice was amazed by the pristine beaches with squeaky sand and the colour of the water. She also learnt about the Australian bush flies which were worse than awful! If only the offshore wind would take them to Antarctica! After camping on the beach east of Esperance we travelled to Kalgoorlie to stay with Japanese student Kaede’s host parent Karen, where we dined with the family of DGE Linda McLerie before heading back to Collie via Wave Rock.Esperance and the Goldfields Alice, John and Janine stayed with Ken and Georgena Jenkyns (RYE Councillor) and enjoyed 2 days of activities with 4 other exchange students and their host parents. Cemetery Pathway:  The pathway is presently in a slight "state of flux"; John is now waiting to hear back from the Shire.  As a footnote: Donna has cut her retirement short and has recently taken a position at the Shire (yes...she has just left there).  One of her roles she has been asked to coordinate is liaising with the local indigenous community......  There is also a gliche in the supply of concrete.  John will hopefully have more updated details soon.

RYLA: No more applications have been received; 1 only to date.
