Welcome
President Neil welcomed all in attendance.
Song Master Bob led us in our ever improving chorus of "We are Australian"; Rotarians continued the melodious rucus to sing the chorus of "Country Roads". Initially, only a small number of song books were printed as a trial; if members are happy with the current selection, more books will be printed. Members were in agreeance to maintain the current format and selection with extra copies to be provided.
Martin Boettcher was pleased to inform that Emma has been baking again and has provided dessert for everyone.
Bob Greig was sad to report that Liz McAndrew's (Past President of RC of Collie) husband had very recently passed away.
President Neil read a letter to the Club from Mathilde. She was worried that as she hadn't written for a long time, that the Club would have forgotten her! Mathilde has recently completed her exams and passed all but one...Philosophy! At the beginning of the year Matilde commenced a two year course in preparation to enter a business school. Mathilde also enjoyed a family holiday to Paris, where she was extremely thrilled to catch up with Ed Croft and the CSHS Gallipoli students. Mathilde was treated as VIP--even staying with the students at their hotel and joining them on official outings. Matilde is well and sends her regards to all.
