Farewell to Jakob 🇩🇪💙
This week we gathered for a special evening to say goodbye to our Youth Exchange student, Jakob, as he prepares to return home to Germany.
We were joined by his host families for a relaxed and heartfelt dinner, where we shared stories, plenty of laughs, and a few emotional moments too. Each family received a photo book capturing their part in Jakob’s journey, and our members presented him with Rotary pins for his jacket — small symbols of big memories.
We finished the night with a group photo to mark the end of a wonderful year and the friendships that will last long after he’s flown home.
Thank you, Jakob, for bringing your energy, curiosity, and good humour to our club and our community. You’ll always have a home in Collie.
