Cannaponics Shares Progress and New Developments in Collie

Members of the Rotary Club of Collie attended the recent Chamber of Commerce Business Connection event featuring an update from Cannaponics, one of Collie’s most dynamic and rapidly developing enterprises. Rod Zakostelsky, the Founder and CEO, provided a comprehensive overview of the company’s progress, community investment, and future plans.

Production Now Underway
Rod confirmed that the Cannaponics medicinal cannabis facility is now officially in production, marking a major milestone for the project. He outlined the strict regulatory framework governing the industry, including:
  • Highly controlled growing environments
  • Medical‑grade quality assurance
  • Security and compliance requirements
  • Federal and state oversight
Attendees raised several questions about the cultivation and processing of medicinal cannabis. Rod addressed these openly, emphasising that Cannaponics operates under rigorous legal and medical standards, with all products destined for approved therapeutic use. His clear explanations helped demystify the industry and reinforce the professionalism behind the operation.

Revitalising the Club Hotel
Cannaponics also shared updates on their redevelopment of the Club Hotel Collie, which has undergone significant renovation since its acquisition. The revitalised hotel now offers:
  • Modernised accommodation
  • Improved facilities
  • A refreshed presence in the town centre
  • Additional lodging options for workers and visitors
This restoration has breathed new life into a historic Collie landmark and contributed to increased local activity.

New Project: “Your Storage Collie” — Premium Shed Lots for Enthusiasts
The company is also progressing a new development adjacent to the Cannaponics site: Your Storage Collie, a premium gated storage and “man‑cave” complex designed for vehicle and hobby enthusiasts.
The project will provide:
  • Secure, private storage units
  • Space for race cars, boats, classic vehicles, bikes, vans, and equipment
  • High‑quality construction
  • A community of like‑minded enthusiasts
  • Optional workshop or man‑cave fit‑outs

This development represents a further diversification of Cannaponics’ local investment and a new commercial opportunity for Collie.

A Growing Local Enterprise
Cannaponics’ presentation highlighted a business that is:
  • Expanding operations
  • Investing heavily in Collie
  • Creating employment
  • Restoring local assets
  • Developing new commercial ventures
  • Strengthening the region’s economic future

Rotary thanks the Chamber of Commerce for hosting this valuable session and acknowledges Rod Zakostelsky and the Cannaponics team for their openness, clarity, and continued commitment to Collie’s growth.
