Mission Mid Day Rotary club partnered with Blessing in Back pack program 4 years ago. Rotarians Tom & Erin Osterberg started this program in their home with their children and managed this program for 3 years. 21 children were sent home with food for the weekend that they could prepare themselves. In 2017 Blessing in a back pack changed there name to Isthmus program. Rotarian Angel Elias and her children took over packing and delivering the food on a weekly basis to a local school in Mission. While Erin Osterberg continued to shop for the food.
This year, the club members will partner together to serve food to 21 under privilege children. This is an amazing program and our club is honored to support this and the children who it the most.
