Rotary Club of Mission (AM) and some other great volunteers spent Saturday morning cleaning up YOUR Mission in the Adopt-A-Block fundraiser. The money raised will go to add another backpack to the growing number of Starfish Backpacks already making a difference. The team below (minus a few photophobes) picked up many bags of garbage in exchange for backpacks of food.
A group of happy (and not yet tired) Rotarians and friends taking part in the Mission adopt-a-block fundraiser with this amazing Rotarian team! Great day helping clean up community areas, one street at a time, while raising money for our Starfish Backpack Program. We worked hard and had fun doing it. Mission is more beautiful today from this teams efforts and one more child will not come to school on Monday Hungry! I am so proud to know these beautiful and inspiring people.
