Virtual Ride FAQs!

Get your friends together and join the Rotary Ride with a 10, 25, 45, or 65-mile Virtual Bicycle Ride just like the in-person ride! We heard from you, our participants (or those who want to be participants) asking for a Virtual option for our ride. Unlike the in-person ride, the registration fee does not change and you decide to add-on the ride shirt. Ride the distance you pick wherever you want and if you ordered the ride shirt we’ll ship it to you.
What is the Rotary Ride's Virtual Ride? As with the in-person ride, the Rotary Ride is a fundraiser and we heard from you, our participants (or those who want to be participants) asking for a Virtual option on the Rotary Ride. Our Virtual Ride consists of a 10, 25, 45 or 65-mile option, just like with our in-person rides. Ride the distance you pick wherever you want.
Who benefits from the Rotary Ride? Annually selected, deserving students are awarded vocational & technical scholarships through the Cedarburg-Grafton Rotary Foundation. It is these students who directly benefit from the proceeds of the Rotary Ride.
Is this a race? No, there is no need to keep track of your time because the Rotary Ride is not a race. It is a fun ride organized to raise funds. These funds support the Cedarburg-Grafton Rotary Foundation's vocational & technical scholarships awarded as well as other community services provided.
How long is registration open? Online registration for both in-person and virtual rides ends on Thursday, May 20th at 11:59 est.
What is the cost of registration? From now through the end of online registration, the Rotary Ride's virtual ride option has one set price of $50 per person.
Where can I ride? Anywhere! This is your virtual ride, and we want you to complete it wherever you want. Bike-friendly roads, paths, indoor trainers, spin class - make this ride your own and just do it! We just ask that you send us your photo so we can see what fun you’re having!
Can I form a Team?  Absolutely! Refer to the Rotary Ride Team page for details on how to organize a Team.
What items are included with the Rotary Ride? As our first event offering a virtual fundraiser option, we’re estimating more than 90% of your registration fee will go directly to support our vocational & technical scholarships.
Is a Ride Shirt included in my registration? No, they are an add-on to your registration. You can order one during the registration process and it will be shipped to you. They look great and will make taking pictures fun! Choose from a cotton tee or the moisture-wicking performance tee. See above for sizing charts.
Can I still purchase a custom Ride Jersey? Yes! During your registration process, you will be able to add on additional items, such as the ride shirt or Jersey. See above for sizing charts.
When do I need to complete my ride? We ask that you complete your ride and upload your results & pictures prior to June 30, 2021.
Do I need to submit results? No, submitting results is not required but it’s fun to be part of the action and share your experience with other riders.
After my ride, how do I let you know how it went? Good question. We'd love to hear about your experience. Complete a short survey (link coming soon). Your feedback is what makes our events great!  Email your pictures and we'll use them to build up the Rotary Ride Gallery.
How do I track my distance? For the Virtual Ride, we accept results on the honor system, but the most accurate tracking is typically done via a device with GPS tracking.
When will my ride shirt / Jersey ship? Mailings will begin shipping the week of May 18th, 2021. After that, packets will be shipped within 14-21 business days. The virtual ride is currently only open to US addresses within the contiguous United States. At this time, we cannot ship to Alaska, Hawaii, or anywhere internationally.
What do I do if the shirt / Jersey doesn’t fit? Can I swap it? We do not offer any size exchanges post packet shipment. All changes to sizes need to be made prior to confirming registration. We highly recommend that all participants take care to view the sizing charts on the above to order the correct size.
