The Cause

It's all about the students! The more funds raised, the more scholarship dollars are given.

The Rotary Club of Cedarburg Grafton is organizing the Rotary Ride – Cycling To Serve to build fellowship and to raise funds for scholarships to vocational and technical schools. Proceeds will also support hometown charities and community projects.

Every industry relies on personnel with technical and vocational skills.  As a Club, our objective is to provide financial assistance through scholarships. We also offer professional mentoring, encourage recipients to pursue or continue local employment, both during and after the educational process, and introduce applicants to Rotary, whose motto is Service Above Self.

The pictures shown here are samples of programs fostering vocational or technical skills in our community. Pictures courtesy of their respectful high school.

The Trail

The Rotary Ride is a bicycle ride held on the bike-friendly roads and paved trails that meanders the Ozaukee County countryside and its quaint communities.

Choose your route: 10, 25, 45, & 65-mile routes will be marked and SAG vehicles on the road will make sure you're safe on the ride. Rest Stops will be provided with cheerful volunteers, shelter, food, and drinks so you can be sure to enjoy your well-deserved break from the saddle. See the FAQ page for details.

A virtual ride is planned for those who'd like this option of supporting our cause.

NOTE: The Rotary Ride is managed by Cedarburg-Grafton Rotary members and chaired by Cindy Petted. An avid cyclist herself, Cindy is the founder of Wisconsin Women Cycling, a Rotary International Cycling To Serve Fellow, and an LCI, Cycling Savvy, & Safe Cycling Instructor. On top of countless hours of volunteering and 14 years of corporate event planning experience, Cindy has been a ride director sanctioned under USA Cycling since 2015.

The Club

The Cedarburg-Grafton Rotary Club was founded in 1965 and is currently made up of 63 very active business and community leaders. Each member embodies the motto of Rotary:  “Service Above Self”.  Our two signature events, the Rotary Music Festival on July 3 and the Milwaukee Symphony Orchestra holiday concert in December, have raised more than $1.4 million for student scholarships and community projects.  Both of these events were canceled in 2020 & 2021 so for 2021 we rolled out our inaugural Rotary Ride, designed to keep our fundraising spirit alive in a safe and responsible way.
