Adopt-A-River Service Project

 
Join the Amigos rotary for the cleanup of the Milwaukee River on August 14.  This event is open to the public.  Family and Friends are welcome.  In addition, we may have volunteers who sign up on the Adopt-a-river site.
 
IMPORTANT: 
It is important to RSVP for this event so that we have the supplies needed for everyone

Event Details
 
WHEN:         Tuesday July 17, 6:00 to 7:00pm Clean-up      
 
AFTER PARTY
7:00 to 8:00 Social (BYO food & drink)
 
WHERE
Amigos and friends will meet up at the picnic area #2 in Lincoln Park.   Enter the parking area at 5332 N Green Bay Ave.  Milwaukee, WI.   Walk to the picnic table area where you will be provided the gloves and trash bags.  YOU provide the hands and energy to pick up the interesting and sometimes bizarre trash that finds its way into our beautiful river system.
 
Amigos and friends plan to gather between 5:30 and 6:00 to pick up supplies and start the cleanup.  If that does not work for you, you may come at any time between 6:00 and 7:00 to be part of the cleanup and social.  See below the Milwaukee Amigos section of river cleanup.
 
  • Adopter: The Rotary Club of Amigos de Milwaukee
 
  • Adopt a River Site: Lincoln Park: W Hampton Ave to N Green Bay Ave AAR
 
  • Description: Adoption section includes the west bank of the Milwaukee River in Lincoln Park. Trash can be left where the Oak Leaf Trail meets the Milwaukee River Parkway.
Volunteers will leave trash in a consolidated pile where the Oak Leaf Trail meets N Milwaukee River Pkwy. See map for details:
