This morning we welcomed Peter Donovan from Victoria Park Youth Accommodation as our guest speaker.
Although Peter has only been in his position there for about 5 weeks, he has certainly learned lots about the centre. He provided us with some background to the issues they have in trying to support the many people who approach them needing accommodation. Unfortunately the demand outstrips the facilities they have access to.
We spent some time during the meeting thinking of ways we may be able to provide some additional support for those at VPYA to help them get back on their feet. Watch this space as some of those ideas are put into action.
