On Sunday morning members of the Ascot Rotary Club and the Ascot Satellite Club went to Nollamara to be part of the Starkick Gala Day event held there.
We went because we had decided as a whole club to donate funds to the All Abilities Starkick programme. They were delighted to receive the cheque, in the form of a football, for $3,600. Stewart, chairman of the Satellite Club presented the cheque to Rob, from WAFC. Rob indicated that the funds were gratefully received and would be used to support their deaf and hard of hearing team in the Starkick programme. Their coach is deaf so an Auslan interpreter was needed.
