At our Club's Change Over event this morning we celebrated who we are and what we want to do into the new year - with the same people in charge.
Veronica, our incoming District Governor was here with us this morning along with partners, and friends from Welshpool Rotary club as we celebrated the great things we have been able to do this year. Our President Jodie is continuing on in the job for next year, as is Chris the Chair of the Satellite Club. Jodie and Stewart (from the Satellite Club) were both named as Rotarians of the Year because of the amazing work that they do to support the club.
One of the fun things we did during our "Carry On" was our traditional raffle - each person is given a playing card, and then from a second set the winner of the raffle is chosen. Jodie picked two suits to work with this morning - Clubs and Hearts, because, in her words "we are a Club with a Big Heart". We may be a small club, but we have had a mighty big year which we want to repeat and enhance next year.
