What did we get out of going to the RI Convention in Singapore?
All three of us headed to Singapore to be part of the 14,000+ people who attended this year's Rotary International Convention.
We each had something to say about what we got out of the conference, and unanimously agreed that the speaker programme was first rate; the entertainment was amazing and that having the opportunity to catch up with old friends, make new friends and find out more about the work of Rotary throughout the world is really inspirational.
Over 70 people attended the Convention from our District; and we all had the opportunity to meet up at the local, and very famous, Lau Pa Sat Food Hall downtown.
It is always great to visit the House of Friendship to find out what amazing projects various clubs are involved in; and also speak to people from Rotary International, and others about how we can keep up our good work and meet the needs for keeping relevant into the future.
Our next annual conference will be in Calgary, Alberta, Canada in 2025 - just before the Calgary Stampede. Two reasons to visit the area!?
