President Pete used today's meeting as an opportunity to provide some much needed information about what we need to do to ensure we stay open for business.

Membership is the key to this; and "we have dropped the ball" according to Peter.  He outlined some plans that were decided by the board to ensure that action is taken to introduce new members into the club.  He has appointed a committee of 3 who are willing to put a plan together for us to take action.  It is not rocket science stuff - just each member doing something about nominating possible new members to the committee and then following up with them.

As a member of the Rotary Pilot Club Program we can look at different categories of membership such as "Partners in Rotary" or "Rotary Partners" as a means of attracting new members.  It does mean that we all need to get active - to make this happen.

If members know of anyone who lives or works in the City of Belmont; pass their name and contact details on to either Garry, Mike B or Michael E as they are the committee who will be supporting our efforts to grow the club.
