Our guest speaker this morning was Jasmin, supported by her parents Monika and Marco.
Jasmin has been horse riding since she was 11 years old.  She rides at least 3 times a week when she can but mostly manages going twice.  Her favourite event is 'dressage' but she also likes 'jumping'.  She has been selected to attend the Special Olympics to be held in Melbourne in October this year where she will be competing in Dressage, Equestrian and Jumping events.  She is one of a dozen riders who will be going from WA to compete in the national event.  Over the years she has won a number of prizes and trophies and hoping to add to her collection at this event.

Jasmin and her parents came to our club this morning in the hope that we might be able to assist them with their fundraising as each participant needs to pay their own way - transportation, accommodation, entry fees all add up and need to be factored in.  Jasmin is hoping to be among some 2,000 athletes and officials at the event competing in a number of different sports.  If you can help, please email our club at ascotrotarywa@gmail.com and we will put you in touch with them.

Thank you Jasmin, Monika and Marco for coming this morning and giving us some information about the event.  We wish you all the very best.
