This morning we heard from these 3 amazing young people from St Norbert's College.  They were all participating in Rotary International's Four Way Speaking Competition.
Each of the three students are to be commended for the way they delivered their speeches.  They entertained us, they informed us, they challenged us, they got us thinking about things we probably haven't thought of in awhile AND they never put a foot wrong and spoke for the full 6 minutes without once needing to refer to their notes (in fact I never saw any palm cards on any of them).  The preparation they had done prior to the event must have been amazing as they were excellent ambassadors for the programme.

The adjudicators had a really difficult time to decide who was the winner and runner up as they all did a great job presenting their topics to those at the meeting.  Ascot Rotary passes on our thanks to Veronica and Tim for taking on that role for us.

Ultimately the winner was Catherine (in the centre) and the runner up was Brian (on the right).

A big thank you must go to their teacher Shirley Leddy who would have spent a lot of time with each of the students assisting them to be ready for this morning.

We wish Catherine and Brian all the very best in the District Heats coming up in August.
