Entertainment Publications and how they can help us

Maya, seen here with President Mike, knows full well the work that Rotary does.  In a previous life she worked for the Heart Foundation and worked closely with Rotary Clubs across the state to get the support for the work she was involved in.  Now as an ambassador for the Entertainment Publications of Australia she is keen to help us get some benefit for a change.

 

From the sale of each Entertainment Book the club would receive an amount of money to help with our fund raising efforts.  The Book is launched at the Zoo in May and is on sale throughout the following year.  The vouchers are valid for the 13 months (May to June of the following year).  They now have a digital copy as well as the hard copy.  The Books can only be purchased through Charity groups.

 

If we wanted to, Maya would help us set it up so that we could benefit from any sales we make.  She would provide posters, flyers; as well as sample Facebook posts and emails that could be sent out to encourage people to get their own copy of the book.

 

They now have an App. which can be used in conjunction with the Entertainment Book.  It has a 'near me' button which allows you to find out what offers are available in the vicinity.  It can also keep a tally of the savings you have made by using the Entertainment Book.  [From my past experience of using the Book the savings very definitely make the purchase of the book worthwhile.]  And when we realise that for each book sold through us, our club would receive $14.00 - it makes it even more worthwhile.

 

Other Rotary Clubs have been using this as a fundraiser and earn between $500 - $1500 from the sales.  Word of mouth is a very strong tool; and if we all managed to get 5 - 10 people purchasing the book we could make it worth our while.
