We had our annual Christmas meeting this morning and it was an action packed meeting.  It all started with President Ron providing us with an update of what our club has achieved this year.
President Ron reminded us that despite our small numbers we have achieved a lot this year - including hosting Bricktober and the AGFR Golf Tournament; we have also continued to provide funds to supply water to villages in Timor L'Este; we have donated vehicles to Starrick and Wheels of Hope; sponsored 2 students to attend the National Youth Science Forums to be run in Canberra and Brisbane these summer holidays; funded class sets of microscopes and delivered them to Redcliffe and St Maria Goretti Primary Schools; and introduced 3 corporate members into our club.  Special thanks were offered to Michael Bermann, Michael Evans and Joanna and Stephen Kendall for their efforts with specific projects we are involved in.  President Ron also mentioned that the funds raised from the AGFR will provide for an Interplast team to head to Fiji to carry out much needed surgical work there.  Well done everyone.
