A very successful weekend was held to provide an opportunity for Lego enthusiasts to get together and see what amazing creations can be made with a few (or a few more) bricks.
This was just one of many creations on display at Bricktober 2024. More photos will be made available on the Bricktober website as they come to hand.
The Ascot Rotary Club would like to take this opportunity to thank all the exhibitors, adults and young people, for taking the time to create some amazing builds that were able to be displayed for over 8,000 people who came by to have a look.
We would also like to thank the many volunteers and supporters of Bricktober for helping to make it our most successful event ever. We could not have done it without you all.
The profits from this weekend will be going towards purchasing Lego to put in our Playtubs so we can offer them to community groups and schools who want to set up Lego Playgroups; funds will also be going to the Rotary Foundation as we continue to pursue a polio-free world; it will also assist us to offer scholarships to local people to attend leadership camps; provide support to indigenous students to undertake tertiary medical studies; and it has assisted us to continue to provide clean water and sanitation in small villages in Timor L'Este.
