President Mike started his year by involving club members in a Forum this morning.

The Forum provided members with opportunities to have their say about what the club stands for, what they could be involved in, and how they want the club meetings to be run.  It was a great opportunity for people to have their voice heard regarding aspects of the club management that they feel should be considered for further discussion.

Ideas such as running a local project and partnering with clubs from overseas to make this happen; re-instating the Student Exchange program which we have been involved in previously; finding ways to really engage with our local community; keeping our fees reasonable; taking action on our pilot programme application regarding meeting structures and frequency; and what should be included in our actual meeting program.  It was also suggested that a quick questionnaire should be conducted so that members can have their say on a range of issues that were raised.  Club members were encouraged to get active on the Board so that they can have more say into how things are to be done in the future.

All these ideas will be discussed at the next Board meeting and brought back to members for further discussion.
