Aged Care & Australia's Aging Population

Jill’s talk was very enlightening into the issues faced by the Aged Care Industry as a result of several factors including an aging population, industry reform and budget cuts. Industry reforms are being implemented so that our aged care system can be sustainable and affordable.

She also highlighted that people are staying in their own home longer, aged care facilities are morphing into “end of life facilities”, the emphasis is on “user pays” and the demand will most definitely exceed supply.
