Rod Wainwright, President Rotary Club of Langley Sunrise and Terry Smith, President Rotary Club of Langley Central were happy to present Mary Reeves, Executive Director of Big Brothers Big Sisters of Langley with the proceeds of the 2013 Tip N'Taste.

Langley Tip 'n Taste is an annual beer and food tasting event presented by volunteers from the Rotary Clubs of Langley, Langley Sunrise, and Langley Central. Because of the generosity of the participating beer and food suppliers, and the Coast Hotel and Convention Centre, virtually all of the ticket sales revenue can be donated to a charitable cause.
Tip 'n Taste 2013 was held July 5, and resulted in a donation of $10,000 to Langley Big Brothers Big Sisters.

Big Brothers Big Sisters of Langley will celebrate 40 years of service to children in Langley in 2014. This year they expect to serve between 250 - 300 children in the Langley area.

Since 1974, they have continued to grow and respond to the greatest needs of the community with a variety of programming, which now includes community based one to one matches, in school adult and teen mentoring one to one matches, and Go Girls and Game On group programming. Each of these programs meets and addresses a different need and demographic.

Big Brothers Big Sisters of Langley, Executive Director, Mary Reeves stated, "These funds from the Tip n Taste, hosted by the 3 Rotary Clubs in Langley, will allow us to move into 2014 with confidence that these group programs will continue to have an impact on children and on bullying in the Langley area. These community partnerships are paramount in us being able to deliver these much needed services at a much reduced cost, due to the use of volunteer facilitators."
