Water facts and conservation

This week Nancy Wells spoke to us about water issues around the world and what we can do to preserve this precious commodity for the future. Did you know that it takes 1 to 2.5 gallons of water to make plastic and twice that amount to make a water bottle? A good reason to ban disposable water bottles! We were amazed to see how much water it takes to make the products we use. Nancy provided us with 3 important steps to improve conservation going forward: 1) Reuse/recycle and reduce consumption, 2) find ways to sustain our finite water resources and 3) work with nature, not try to master it. Good advice for us all.
