17 Rotary Youth Exchange (RYE) students from District 5190,  and Carson High Interact students marched in the 2016 Nevada Day Parade on Saturday, October 29th.  RYE students were hosted by the two Carson Clubs for the week-end of October 28-30, staying with local host families. RYE students were treated to a costume party at the Brewery Arts Center, the Nevada Day Parade, a social party with Rotarians and a visit to Virginia City.  Inbound students from Argentina, Belgium, Brazil, Chile, Denmark, Germany, Italy and Thailand helped celebrate Nevada's 152nd birthday and learn about Nevada history and customs.  The parade float this year was the Cathedral, an 1895 engine-powered pleasure boat recovered from the depths of Fallen Leaf Lake near Tahoe and restored by the D'Anneo family. Thanks to the Carson High Interact Club for making the RYE students feel at home, and local host families for welcoming these Rotary ambassadors into their homes for the week-end!
