William Krueger MD was the speaker for the meeting.  Dr. Krueger is a radiologist at Winona Health.  He recently moved to Winona after completing his radiology training at Mayo Clinic Rochester and practicing in Colorado.  He was familiar with Winona because his father was President at Winona State University for many years.  He also spoke briefly about his family and children.

Dr. Krueger described some of the high tech tools available in Winona including our Spiral CT that is so fast it can scan the brain or chest within 1 or 2 seconds, our Magnetic Resonance Scanner (MRI) which uses large magnets to produce images without any radiation, our high resolution Mammogram scanner, and our Bone Density scanner that detects weakened bones in our hips and legs which can lead to sudden fracture.  All of these devices are frequently upgraded with replacement or upgrades to the software that will allow scanning for heart disease and lung cancer.
