Meet New Member Travis Whipple

Travis Whipple enters his first year as Assistant Athletic Director at Winona State and his fourth year overall working for the department. Whipple also served as an Assistant Athletic Director from 2008-2011 before spending the 2011-12 academic year as an Assistant Commissioner of the Lone Star Conference in Dallas, Texas. Whipple earned both his bachelors and masters degrees from Winona State University. Travis has an undergraduate degree in Education and a Masters in Sports Management. Prior to becoming an Assistant Athletic Director Whipple was a student-athlete and played men’s basketball, during that time he participated in three national championship games. Whipple was also a part of a run that led to 57 consecutive wins and two national championships. Travis has been fortunate to be a part of outstanding teams in the past but his greatest teammate is his wife Kim. Kim shares her amazing talents and passion for dance as studio owner/instructor at Gotta Dance. Travis and Kim are extremely blessed to have one son (Kai).
