Our Very Own Terry Klonecki shared some information on her company Formgraphics and Winona Sign and Design.
Formgraphics was started in 1981 by John Meinke who purchased a plastics former from Technigraph Corp. where he worked at the time. He started in a building downtown with his wife and an artist. A few years later purchased the building on 4th st we are in now.
Printing on buckets started a few years into his ownership when Vision design approached him about printing on buckets and tubs for one of their customers. This customer was Behrens Manufacturing looking to print buckets for Martha Stewart. This portion of the business grew fast, and the forming took a back seat to the buckets.
I went to work for Formgraphics in 1999 and worked for him for about 3 years. When I left Fg I told John I would be interested in buying it if he ever decided to sell it. I had a vision for Fg he at the time was not willing to invest in it he was looking to retire soon.
In 2011 his wife Sue stopped to chat with me and told me he was ready to sell The rest is history……..
11/11/11 signed the paperwork at Mike Bernatz office ad when we where walking out Pat looked at his phone and said look its 11:00. Purchased the building 5 years later completely renovating the inside to be more efficient.
Since we purchased the company we have added Plastic buckets 2018 and the Winona sign and design division about the same time. Giving us a much wider area of capabilities.
