Last week our program was Barry Drazkowski speaking to us about GeoSpatial Services at Saint Mary's University.  It is an integration of academic apprenticeship and professional services.  It is an extremely extensive and impressive program.  They have a national footprint and work on projects all across the United States.  GeoSpatial Services specialize in the development of natural resource assessments, new spatial data, conversion of hardcopy map products into digital spatial data, air photo interpretation, wetland and natural resource mapping and GIS applications. Partners include a range of public agencies and private sector companies including the National Park Service and the U.S. Fish and Wildlife Service participating in their Natural Resource Condition Assessments, Climate Change Vulnerability Assessments, spatial data development program, and the National Wetland Inventory Program.
