Host Families Needed for 2013-2014 Youth Exchange Students

Our club will be hosting two Youth Exchange Students next year. One student will be from Belguim and one from Italy. We will need 6 host families for the coming year. If we do not find enough Rotarian families to host, we will be reaching out to other families from the Winona area. Winona Rotarians have the first option of hosting students. After April 30th we will open applications to host up to the community. This does not mean Rotarians could not apply later, just that there may not be slots available as time passes.
If you want information on the students or being a host family, let Eric Johnsrud know. To apply to be a host family, contact Eric for the necessary forms. Please note that, due to Federal requirements, there are a few forms to fill out and there will be an in-home interview before a family can be approved.
In addition, each student will need a counselor. The counselor is a person that the student can be in contact with to discuss issues that may arise. If you are interested or would like more information on being a counselor, let Eric know as well.
We are looking forward to an exciting year with our new students.
