Welcome to the Rotary Club of Pennant Hills website.
The club is made up of hard-working Rotarians who are committed to embracing Rotary International President Holger Knaack's theme for this Rotary Year "Rotary Opens Opportunities". We also take the Rotary motto, "Service above Self", seriously and in the local community we aim to provide help and assistance wherever it is needed and we can help. We have a number of Youth Projects - such as:
Rotary Youth Leadership Award (RYLA) for young men and women 18 to 27 years old - 1 week live-in camp held in January each year
Rotary Youth Program of Enrichment (RYPEN) for boys and girls 14 to 16 years old - intensive residential weekend to develop 'life skills'
National Youth Science Forum (NYSF) - A 12 day residential program inspiring Australia's leading young scientists
Senior students apply for leadership training on the ‘Young Endeavour’ sailing ship - a scholarship providing a week aboard this tall ship
The major fundraisers each year are a Christmas Trailer Raffle and our Annual Golf Day, funds being distributed to local charities.
At the international level, the club has a project in Timor Leste, where we run RYLA and RYPEN camps. This project is over 10 years old and a vital need in this very poor nearneighbour.
The club has purchased Shelter Boxes to provide living quarters for people made homeless after natural disasters.
At the club level, members enjoy fellowship through weekly meetings held on Wednesdays at 6.30pm at Pennant Hills Golf Club. Our members also enjoy offsite outings. Family and friends also attend these events.
We are always looking for new members - people who are committed to service and to making a difference in their local community and international projects.
If you are interested, please contact us.  We will be happy to introduce you to Rotary and to answer your questions.
