2023-24 PRESIDENT DAVID FIRTH

Welcome to the Rotary Club of Pennant Hills.
The club is made up of hard-working Rotarians who are committed to embracing Rotary's International theme for this Rotary Year "Create Hope in the World". We also take the Rotary motto "Service above Self" seriously and in the local community we aim to provide help and assistance wherever it is needed.
We have a number of Youth Projects - such as:
Rotary Youth Leadership Award (RYLA) for young men and women 18 to 30 years old - 1 week live-in camp held in January each year
Rotary Youth Program of Enrichment (RYPEN) for boys and girls 14 to 16 years old - intensive residential weekend to develop 'life skills'.
National Youth Science Forum (NYSF) - A 12 day residential program inspiring Australia's leading young scientists

The major fundraiser each year is our Christmas Trailer Raffle, funds being distributed to St Lucy's School and other Rotary charities.
At the international level, the club has a project in Timor Leste, where we run RYLA and RYPEN camps. This project is over 10 years old and a vital need in this very poor near neighbour.
The club has purchased Shelter Boxes to provide living quarters for people made homeless after natural disasters.
We are also a supporter of Rotary's 'End Polio Now' project around the world.
This year we are supporting the campaign to SAY NO TO DOMESTIC AND FAMILY VIOLENCE.

At the club level, members enjoy fellowship through meetings held on 1st and 3rd Wednesdays at 6.30pm at Pennant Hills Community Health Centre. Our members also enjoy offsite outings. Family and friends also attend these events.

We are always looking for new members - people who are committed to service and to making a difference in their local community and international projects.
If you are interested, please contact us.  We will be happy to introduce you to Rotary and to answer your questions.
