  • Virtue: Appreciation read by David Nichols along with personal appreciation for all the great work that was done at the Rice County Fair.
  • Club Announcements:
    • Rotary Visioning Session – Tuesday July 29th 5-9p – River Valley Church
    • New Member Orientation – Wednesday July 30th 1:30-2p – The Inn
    • Next Week’s Speaker: newly installed Glenn Bowers presenting at our noon meeting
    • August 6th – noon meeting will be at River Valley Church…not The Inn!
    • Strive Meeting to begin preparations for this Fall – 11am next Wednesday 7/30 at The Inn
    • Dog Days of Summer lunch event tomorrow at Tony Langerud’s Office
  • End Polio Now
    • Dr. Dick Huston and Our Savior’s Church Associate Pastor Andrew Yackel proudly explained the donations raised for polio eradication efforts.  Monies raised this year at Our Savior’s Lutheran Church was $3,000 and the first $1,000 was matched by Dr. Huston.

  • Dad Joke of the Week!       Mark was reading the other day about the guy who invented air conditioning and learned he was really cool!
  • Fellowship with Greg Ciesluk:
    • Welcome Andrew Yackel as a guest today.
    • George Wickstrom – very pleased that his great granddaughter is doing better.
    • Brenda DeMars- her guest today is her husband, Drew DeMars.  They are celebrating their 42nd wedding anniversary.  Brenda reflected on the last 42 years of marriage!   Congrats to the DeMars!
    • David Nichols – centennial fundraiser for the Historical Society – trying to raise $540k over the next year and a half.   Half way to their goal so far.
    • Ellie Holmquist – their daughter got her permit yesterday.  Family went out to eat in downtown Northfield and happened to see all the Model T’s and Bank Robbery reenactment in Northfield – it was pretty cool to see!
    • Kymn Anderson – thank you to Devin for all his work for this community and encouraged everyone to be positive about the great things Faribault has.
    • Erica Staab-Absher – looking for a location for a Saturday afternoon board retreat for about a dozen people if anyone has ideas for her!
    • Greg Ciesluk – thanks to Our Savior’s for their generosity to end polio.
    • Mark Kenney – encourages everyone to follow the visit Faribault Facebook page.
