- I was born and raised in Faribault, MN and attended the Faribault Public Schools, graduating from FHS in 1996. I attended the University of Minnesota, Morris from 1997-2000 and earned a B.A. in Human Services with a Minor in Music.

- I volunteer at my church in various roles: bible study leader, ministry team leader and worship team vocalist (in addition to being a pastor’s wife)
- I currently coach a 11U volleyball team with my daughter, Eloise, through Club Falcons
- I like gardening, landscaping, scrapbooking and graphic design

- My mother’s side of the family is very musical. She was a music teacher in the Faribault Schools for 29 years and grew up singing with her parents, siblings and cousins. Thus, I sang a solo at church for the first time when I was 7 years old. I started to learn piano at age 8 and subsequently took 9 years of lessons. I also played additional instruments to varying degrees of success: violin, clarinet, percussion, and guitar. The one instrument I have always felt proficient at was my voice. I have sung solo and with others for countless family reunions, vocal competitions, school ensembles, auditioned choirs, weddings and funerals for 40 years. Through the U of M-Morris Concert Choir, I had the privilege of singing at Orchestra Hall – twice! Church music is my current outlet and Rotary, of course!
